New Legislated Requirements

To All ORGANIZED Hamlet Boards

 

The attached policies are part of the new legislated requirements that came into effect August 2023.

All Organized Hamlet Boards must have R.M. Council and Hamlet Board approved policies in place prior to your AGM:

   ·        Elections

   ·        Board Member Duties/Requirements

   ·        Meetings

   ·        Providing Notice

   ·        Reporting

 

The attached templates are to be taken to your hamlet board meeting and updated for your hamlet; any changes requested will be subject to council approval. The templates outline the minimum requirements so information provided in the template MUST be kept. Once your Hamlet Board has updated the template it needs to be submitted to R.M. Council for final approval.

These polices must be approved prior to and made available at your 2024 Annual General Meeting.

These changes are legislated requirements not an R.M. of Mervin decision.
